Travel Alert - Coronavirus Update
To our valued customers,
HAPPY NEW YEAR!
Thank you for checking in, and I hope you are staying safe! It has been a while since I last posted an update. 2020 was a year none of us would soon forget. But even with the struggles, we remain hopeful about the future and welcome 2021 with open arms!
Celtic Tours is proudly entering its 49th year! We wish to continue offering you fantastic service and products that bring your client's vacations of a lifetime. We would not be here without the dedicated travel advisors' support throughout the United States and Canada.
We look forward to continuing this relationship into 2021 and beyond.
While travel has not yet resumed for our market (Ireland, United Kingdom, and Europe), people are ready to start planning and will be more than prepared once travel begins again. Sadly, travel in the first quarter does not seem a possibility at this point. We have either moved or canceled any reservations traveling from January to March of 2021.
We are currently monitoring April now and are in touch with those booked with us. For those traveling in May and beyond, we have hope! We will be monitoring the situation closely as we move into this year. If you have booked with us, we will keep you posted of any changes should they arise.
Many people are already planning and booking for later in the summer and into the Fall. Please give us a call if you have clients looking to travel. Now is a great time to plan. Our incredible staff can help with itinerary planning, budgets, unique travel ideas, and more.
As always, if a travel restriction will prevent you from traveling, we will offer full land refunds* or reschedule your travel to a new date as requested. Please keep in mind, it is too soon for us to know what travel restrictions will be in place from April onwards, so cancellation before known travel restrictions will incur our standard penalties. Once we have more information, we will be the first to share it with you.
Regarding airfare: Flights are under airline rules and restrictions. We must follow their rules on all flight cancellations and re-bookings. Some airlines have restrictions on when re-bookings need to be completed and for what date. Each airline is different. Please call and or email to determine what rules and regulations affect your current flight (if booked with Celtic Tours).
For new individual bookings, we are currently offering land only reservations. We found airlines were offering customers better terms for cancellations and changes when airfare was booked directly with the airlines. To avoid disappointment and provide the best customer service, we felt it best to cancel this service at this time.
Group Air can still be booked with Celtic Tours, as group air rules differ from individual bookings, and the best customer service remains when booking your group air with Celtic Tours.
Again, a sincere thanks to our valued travel advisor partners. We are here because of you. We look forward to a new and prosperous year, and thank you for considering Celtic Tours!
Please feel free to reach out by phone (800-833-4373) or email: firstname.lastname@example.org or email@example.com with any questions or concerns or to find out the status of your booking. For general information requests, please send them to firstname.lastname@example.org.
Our office hours are currently Monday – Thursday 9:00 am to 5:30 pm, and Friday 9:00 am to 5:00 pm. Our emergency phone is not available now, as no one is traveling. Once travel resumes, we will re-instate our emergency phone.
We are continually updating our website with new and tried and true tours for 2021 and into 2022. Please visit www.celtictours.com for new tours and updates. Thank you again! We appreciate you.
*Not all land items and or insurance policies are refundable depending on WHEN a booking/group was canceled and the nature of the insurance policy. Some reservations purchased non-refundable hotels and or paid deposits but canceled before travel restrictions affected them. Additionally, bookings that choose to cancel BEFORE a date was affected are subject to penalties applied. Also, those that moved dates into 2021/2022 - and looked to cancel after moving would be subject to our penalties as well, as we anticipate travel to resume. Unfortunately, refunds are not retroactive in these cases.
