YOUR ITINERARY:

Sunday; (day 1) is the start date in Ireland. Departure from the US would be on Saturday (due to overnight flights). Transfer from Dublin Airport will be at 9:30 am. If your flight is arriving after 9:30, we suggest arriving a day before, as a later flight will not work with this tour start time.Note: Additional touring may be added at final itinerary.

Day 1, Sunday | Arrive Ireland! Dublin - Cong - Kiltimagh, Co. Mayo

Morning arrival at Dublin Airport. After clearing customs, and collecting luggage, meet our driver/guide in the arrivals hall. Departure from the Airport is scheduled for 9:30 am. We suggest a pre-night (book separately) if your flight time is arriving much earlier or later than our departure time. Departing Dublin Airport, we head to the Lodges at Ashford, where we enjoy a scenic boat cruise on Lough Corrib. After our cruise, we enjoy a lunch at The Lodge at Ashford followed by an inspection of The Lodge and its facilities. We continue on to the Kiltimagh Park Hotel, where a warm Irish welcome awaits you at this 4-Star hotel located in Kiltimagh, Co Mayo. Time to check-out the facilities at our hotel and relax before dinner this evening at our hotel. Overnight in Kiltimagh. (L,D)

Day 2, Monday | Kiltimagh, Co. Mayo - Fermanagh

After breakfast, we bid farewell to Kiltimagh and make our way to Ceide Fields. Beneath the wild boglands of north Mayo lies a system of fields, dwelling areas and megalithic tombs which together make up the most extensive Stone Age monument in the world. The stone-walled fields, extending over hundreds of hectares, are the oldest known globally, dating back almost 6,000 years. They are covered by a natural blanket bog with its own unique vegetation and wildlife. The award-winning visitor center is set against some of the most dramatic rock formations in Ireland. A viewing platform on the edge of the 110-meter-high cliff will help you make the most of the breathtaking scenery. Come prepared with protective clothing and sturdy footwear, though. The terrain – and the weather – can be challenging. Continue onto Kilronan Castle Estates & Spa in Co. Roscommon for lunch and a inspection of the hotel and it's facilities. Continuing on to Northern Ireland and County Fermanagh, making our way to the Killyhevlin Lakeside Hotel. Commanding stunning views directly overlooking scenic Lough Erne, the Killyhevlin Lakeside Hotel & Lodges Enniskillen is without doubt Fermanagh’s leading four-star retreat. Surrounded by lakeside gardens this family run hotel is located only 1km from the historic island town of Enniskillen, County Fermanagh considered to be the gateway to the Wild Atlantic Way and West of Ireland. (B,L,D)

Day 3, Tuesday | Fermanagh - Cavan

After breakfast, we have an exciting day planned. We depart our lakeside hotel and make our way to the Marble Arch Caves, a hidden gem home to an incredible experience. Set in the picturesque foothills of Cuilcagh Mountain, just a short journey from the island town of Enniskillen in County Fermanagh, Northern Ireland. The landscape encompassing the Marble Arch Caves was formed over 340 million years ago. Today this natural environment of caves, rivers, mountains, ancient woodlands, waterfalls and gorges offer an opportunity for visitors to enjoy the incredible range of activities and experiences the Marble Arch Caves have to offer. We continue onto to the Sleive Russell Hotel Golf and Country Club for lunch and a sight inspection. Touring continues (afternoon touring will be advised shortly). We continue on to Cavan and our Cabra Castle. Set on 100 acres of parkland and gardens, with the magnificent backdrop of Dún a Rí Forest Park, there is much to explore, both indoors and out. Due to its idyllic location and superb range of accommodation, Cabra Castle is one of the leading luxury hotels in Ireland. (Please note, courtyard rooms will be confirmed for this stay). Overnight in Cavan. (B,L,D)

Day 4, Wednesday | Touring - Newry

After breakfast, we make our way south to the Hill of Tara. The Hill of Tara has been important since the late Stone Age, when a passage tomb was built there. The site gained significance in the Iron Agent and into the Early Christian Period when it rose to supreme prominence as the seat of the High Kings of Ireland. There are still remarkable sights to be seen, however. Just one example is the Lia Fáil – the great coronation stone and one of the four legendary treasures of the Tuatha Dé Danann – which stands proudly on the monument known as An Forradh. An amazing step back into true Ancient Irish history. Continue on to the Headfort Arms Hotel in Kells, for a light lunch and site inspection before making our way to the stunning Killeavy Castle Estate Hotel in Newry Northern Ireland. Killeavy Castle Estate is the perfect antidote to the modern, fast-paced world. As the centerpiece of 365 acres of mixed farm and woodland in County Armagh’s stunning Slieve Gullion, it’s the ideal place to escape, retreat, relax, and unwind. It is easily accessible only 10 minutes outside Newry City and one hour from both Belfast and Dublin Airports, making it Northern Ireland's premier Hotel and Spa destination. (B,D)

Day 5, Thursday | Newry - Touring - Dublin

After breakfast, we make our way to the Captial City of  Ireland, Dublin. After a panoramic tour of the city via the coach, we make our way to EPIC, The Irish Emigration Musum. You won’t find leprechauns or pots of gold here, but you will discover that what it means to be Irish expands far beyond the borders of Ireland through the stories of Irish emigrants who became scientists, politicians, poets, artists and even outlaws all over the world. Discover Ireland from the outside in and find out why saying “I’m Irish” is one of the biggest conversation starters, no matter where you are. Continue to our Dublin Hotel for check-in and a chance to relax. This evening, we head out to the Merry Ploughboy Irish Music Pub for dinner and traditional Irish entertainment. A fantastic evening of food, song and fun. Return to Dublin for overnight. (B,D)

Day 6, Friday: Dublin - Tour ends

An early morning transfer* takes you to Dublin Airport for the return flight home. Pick up your last-minute gifts at the duty-free shops before boarding your flight. You arrive home the same day. (B)

*Return transfer scheduled currently for 7:30 am. Those needing to be at the airport earlier can book an additional transfer with Celtic Tours or arrange a taxi transfer right at the hotel.
