Day 01, Thursday: U.S. to Ireland. Depart the U.S. for your overnight flight to Ireland. Dinner is served on board.

Day 02, Friday: Dublin - Sligo. Morning arrival in Dublin. Having cleared Irish customs, we are greeted by our Celtic Tours driver/ guide. Departing Dublin Airport, we travel Northwest, across the Irish countryside to Sligo. Free time to rest. Afternoon departure for local sightseeing in the hometown of William Butler Yeats. Dinner and overnight in Sligo.

Day 03, Saturday: Sligo.Depart for a day trip of this scenic county. We see beautiful Ben Bulben Mountain and learn the legend of Diarmuid and Grainne. We continue onto Lough Gill and the Isle of Innisfree to Enniscrone to see O'Dowd's Castle where we hear of the mermaid who once reigned as Queen. Return to our Sligo hotel for overnight, where we enjoy dinner at our hotel. Overnight in Sligo.

Day 04, Sunday: Sligo - Newport - Mulrany - Curraun Peninsula - Galway.  After breakfast, we depart Sligo and travel southwest to Newport and along scenic Clew Bay to Mulrany and the Achill Islands. Our tour takes us around the beautiful Curraun Peninsula. We continue on south to Galway for dinner and overnight. You will find many pubs and entertainment in Galway to enjoy at your leisure this evening.

Day 05, Monday: Galway - Connemara - Galway.  Today we enjoy a scenic tour of Connemara. Travel along Galway Bay to Maam Cross and Clifden. Continue on via Kylemore Abbey and stop briefly for a photo opportunity. We continue via scenic countryside; keep an eye out for sheep en-route to Moycullen. We stop to visit the Connemara Marble Factory and the Celtic Crystal Factory. Return to Galway where we have some free time before dinner at our hotel. Overnight in Galway with the remainder of the evening free for you to enjoy this great city.

Day 06, Tuesday: Galway - Cliffs of Moher - Killarney.  Morning departure from Galway. We travel south to Ardrahan where we pause for tea and scones at Rathbaun Farms. Here we will see a farming family carry out everyday chores including sheep shearing and watch as the sheepdog maneuvers the flock. Continue onto the majestic Cliffs of Moher, which rise 700 feet above the Atlantic Ocean. Onwards to Killarney for dinner and overnight.

Day 07, Wednesday: Killarney - Dingle Peninsula.  A delightful day takes us along the Kerry coast to the Dingle Peninsula, which offers magnificent coastal scenery. Beyond Slea Head, we see the Blasket Islands, the last outpost of Europe. A full day tour returning to Killarney, where we enjoy dinner at our hotel this evening. Overnight in Killarney.

Day 08, Thursday: Killarney - Cashel - Dublin.  Leaving Killarney we travel over the mountains to Blarney, where we pause for an visit to Blarney Woollen Mills. Here you have time to enjoy an optional visit to Blarney Castle, and perhaps kiss the famed Blarney Stone or visit the amazing gardens around the castle. Leaving Blarney we travel via Tipperary and Cashel, where we pause for a photo-op at the historic Rock of Cashel, an ancient castle fortress of the Kings of Ireland. Arrive in Dublin, where the evening is free to dine on your own tonight. Overnight in Dublin. *Note: Dinner, Irish cabaret show can be optionally arranged tonight if you would like.

Day 09, Friday: Dublin.  Morning sightseeing in Dublin includes a visit to Whitefriar's Church, where the remains of St. Valentine lay. Then onto the Guinness Storehouse followed by Trinity College and the 8th century Book of Kells. Our afternoon and evening are free to enjoy the Capital city of Dublin.

Day 10, Saturday: Dublin - U.S.  Early morning transfer to Dublin for your  flight to Edinburgh. Arrive Edinburgh and tranfer [included] to your pre-booke Edinburgh hotel. [Note: check in time is generally from 2:00 pm]. Spend your day indepdendelty exploring Edinburgh on yoru own. Evening in Edinburgh.

Day 11: Edinburgh - Ft. William - Portree. Make your way to the deparutre point at 6 Waterloo Place for 8:15. Depart Edinburgh at  8:30 am.   Optional transfer to departure point can be purchased at time of reservation. Passing Linlithgow Palace and Stirling with its imposing castle and views of the Wallace Monument and Doune Castle. We stop in Callander for refreshments. Crossing into the Highlands we head north towards the glorious scenery surrounding Loch Luibnaig then through Breadalbane and up to the wild desolation of Rannoch Moor. We continue through the spectacular mountain pass of Glencoe, scene of the great massacre of the Clan Macdonald in 1692. Leaving Fort William after lunch we drive past Britain's highest mountain, Ben Nevis, and into the Great Glen. We travel the “Road to the Isles” and head through the splendor of the Five Sisters of Kintail, the mountains guarding the pass on the way to the Isle of Skye. We stop to visit the famous Eilean Donan Castle, one of Scotland's most photographed castles. Crossing over the bridge to Skye, we follow the dramatic coastline north towards the island's capital, Portree for overnight.

Day  12: A Day On Skye. There are many possibilities depending on the weather and our driver/guide's knowledge will come to the fore in developing the best day out for us. Overnight in Portree.

Day 13: Loch Ness - Edinburgh. Depart Portree and travel through the Cuillin Hills and back over to the mainland for stunning views over Loch Duich. Onto Loch Ness for lunch and the possibility of spotting “Nessie”. Travel through the Grampian mountains along Loch Laggan, before passing Dalwhinnie, home to Scotland's highest whisky distillery, and onwards past Blair Castle stopping for refreshments before heading back to Edinburgh. Arriving at 19.00 approx. Tour ends at Waverly Bridge, where you will make your own way back to your hotel. Optional return transfer is available at time of booking. Overnight in Edinburgh this evening.

Day 14: Edinburgh. Enjoy breakfast at the hotel today before checking out. Transfer is included in package price, however you can opt not to include at time of reservation.

IMPORTANT: **Departure dates shown are air dates from the U.S. Land tour starts one day later, on Friday. Transfers for this tour from Dublin Airport after the arrival of all international flights for passengers who book air with Celtic Tours. If Celtic Tours does not book your air, you may avail of these free transfers, provided you submit your flight information within 35 days prior to departure, and you are available 30 minutes prior to airport departure. Otherwise, you must find your own transfer to your first night hotel. Ireland Tour ends at Dublin Airport at 7:15-7:30 am on day 10, at which time, passengers are to make their way to Edinburgh. Tranfers on arrival in Edinburgh included from airport to hotel. Return transfer on day 14 also included.

The dates shown when booking air in conjunction with this tour will be the the start / end date of your tour, however, you can alter these dates to arrive earlier or extend your stay as needed.

Free group transfers are offered from Dublin Airport after the arrival of all international flights for passengers who book air with Celtic Tours.  Tour ends at Dublin Airport at 7:15-7:30 am for all passengers. Passengers that book air on their own may avail of these free transfers provided they inform us of their flight information 35 days prior to departure and they are available 30 minutes prior to airport departure.
