Wednesday (day 01) is the start date in Ireland. Note, with overnight flights, a TUESDAY flight would be needed, to meet group on Day 01, Wednesday at Dublin Airport.

Day 01, Wednesday: ARRIVE IRELAND! Dublin - Roscommon

Morning arrival at Dublin Airport. After clearing customs, collecting luggage and arrival of all international passengers booked by Celtic Tours, your transfer will depart Dublin Airport for Roscommon and our Castle Hotel. Time to enjoy the grounds of the castle. Perhaps take in an optional spa service. Tonight we enjoy dinner and overnight at Kilronan Castle. (D)

Day 02, Thursday: Carick-on-Shannon - Longford - Athlone - Roscommon

A scenic historic tour today takes us via Boyle, where we can see the ruins of the old Cistercian abbey, the ivy clad abbey dates back to 1161. Continue on to Carrick-on-Shannon which straddles the River Shannon. Continue on via Longford and Athlone, optional visit to the Church of Peter and Paul, an impressive structure of the Roman Renaissance style. Enjoy a pub lunch and some free time in Athlone. Return to our Castle Hotel via Roscommon. This evening is free to enjoy all the facilities at the castle and perhaps a light dinner on your own tonight. Overnight at Kilronan Castle. (B,L)

Day 03, Friday: Roscommon - Galway - Cliffs of Moher - Adare - Killarney

Morning departure from Kilronan Castle. We travel southwest via Tuam to Galway County and Moycullen. We enjoy a brief stop at the Celtic Crystal Factory Continuing on, we travel south via the majestic Cliffs of Moher, where we pause with spectacular views. Continue along the western coastline, as we make our way to charming Killarney town via the Lahinch and Adare. In Killarney, we enjoy dinner at our hotel this evening. Killarney is an excellent location to enjoy traditional music and pub entertainment. Overnight in Killarney. (B,D)

Day 04, Saturday: Killarney - Ring of Kerry

We depart on one of Ireland's most popular and beautiful drives, the Ring of Kerry. Traveling from Killarney, we come to the town of Killorglin, famous for its traditional Puck Fair, and from here we commence the ring tour. Our drive is along the coastline of the broad Iveragh Peninsula, through the towns of Glenbeigh, Cahirciveen, Waterville, and Sneem. The scenery is spectacular as wind-swept cliffs, still lakes, lost valleys, and rocky mountains blend in awesome beauty before we circle back to Killarney for dinner and overnight. (B,D)

Day 05, Sunday: Blarney - Cobh - Waterford

Depart Killarney, with a stop in Blarney, where we pause for optional visits to Blarney Woollen Mills and Blarney Castle, perhaps to kiss the famed Blarney Stone. Leaving Blarney we travel the short distance to Cobh (Queenstown), the last port of call for the Titanic. Leaving Cobh, we stop and enjoy a wee tasting at the Midleton Whisky Distillery before making our way to Waterford. In Waterford, we enjoy dinner and an overnight stay. (B,D)

Day 06, Monday: Waterford - Dublin

Morning brings a visit to the House of Waterford before making our way to Dublin via Kildare. An afternoon check-in to our Dublin hotel allows for time to relax before attending a traditional Irish cabaret and dinner show in Dublin. We return to our hotel at approximately 10:30 pm to stay overnight in Dublin. (B,D)

Day 07, Tuesday: Dublin

Our morning sightseeing tour of Dublin includes a visit to the Guinness Storehouse. Afterwards we visit Trinity College to view the 8th century Book of Kells. Our afternoon is free to enjoy the capital city. Tonight enjoy dinner on your own before the final overnight stay in Dublin. (B)

Day 08, Wednesday: Dublin - Tour ends

An early morning transfer takes you to Dublin Airport for the return flight home. Pick up your last minute gifts at the duty free shops before boarding your flight. You arrive home the same day. (B)

Your tour land price is per person based on two (2) people sharing a twin or double room. When a single room is booked, a single supplement will apply. When a triple room is booked, a $30 per person discount will apply.

Airfare is additional. Once you select your tour date, you will be given the opportunity to search our system for the best available airfare from your home city. The tour date shown above is the date one arrives in Ireland. All air should be booked one day prior to accommodate overnight flights to Ireland.

Our system will search for the best possible airfare during your booking process. Note: airfare cannot be booked sooner than eleven (11) month from date of departure.

Departures & Transfers

Departure date is the date the tour starts in Ireland. One would depart from the US. one day prior to the date noted. The tour begins in Ireland on Wednesday.

Arrival transfers available from Dublin Airport on arrival of all international flights booked by Celtic Tours. Due to varied arrival times, longer waits may occur at the airport before departing. If air is not booked with Celtic Tours, you must be available 30 minutes prior to departure from Dublin Airport. Flight information is required for all land only bookings in order to avail of our transfers.  Tour ends for all passengers at 6:10 am at Dublin Airport.
