Please note: As needed, some dates may utilize Lough Rynn Castle as an alternative to Kilronan Castle. Also note these hotel changes: July 01 departure: Castlerosse Hotel in Killarney on this tour / August 19 and 26 departures: Kees Hotel in Ballybofey, Donegal on these dates.

Itinerary

YOUR ITINERARY:

Saturday (day 1) is the start date in Ireland. Note, with overnight flights, a FRIDAY flight would be needed, to meet the group on Day 01, Saturday at Dublin Airport.

Day 1, Saturday | Arrive Ireland! Dublin - St. Patrick's Centre - Belfast

Morning arrival at Dublin Airport. Dublin Airport arrivals can avail of our transfer time of 9:45 am for departures to our Belfast hotel. Belfast arrivals are provided transfers up to 12:00 noon. From Dublin Airport we depart and travel the short journey north via Dundalk and Downpatrick, with a visit to the St. Patrick's Centre. Opportunity to visit the gravesite of St. Patrick before we continue north to Belfast. Check in at our hotel with free time to relax. Those passengers arriving at Belfast airport, it is a leisurely start to the day with a transfer to your hotel and time to rest. This afternoon we enjoy a panoramic city tour of Belfast with a local guide. We return to the hotel for dinner. Your evening is free to explore the city on your own before a relaxing overnight stay in Belfast. (D)

Day 2, Sunday | Belfast - Giant's Causeway - Titanic Museum

Today we enjoy a scenic tour of the Antrim Coast and visit the Giant's Causeway and Museum. Marvel at the volcanic columns formed over 60 million years ago and hear the ancient fables of the Causeway. We return to Belfast where we visit Titanic Belfast. Extending over nine galleries, this multi-dimensional exhibit draws together special effects, full-scale reconstructions, and innovative interactive features to explore the Titanic Story in a fresh and insightful way. Learn of her conception in Belfast in the early 1900's, through her construction and launch, to her infamous maiden voyage and catastrophic demise. Return to our hotel where the evening is free to experience more of Belfast. Enjoy your overnight stay in Belfast. (B)

Day 3, Monday | Belfast - Derry - Glenveagh - Donegal

This morning, we depart Belfast and travel west via Dungiven and the Sperrin Mountains to Derry City. Enjoy a panoramic city tour of Derry, including free time to explore independently. Departing Derry, we travel via Bridgend to Glenveagh for a visit to Glenveagh Castle & Gardens in the National Park. Continue on to our nearby County Donegal hotel for dinner and overnight. (B,D)

Day 4, Tuesday | Atlantic Coast - Dungloe - Glenties

Today we travel via Glenties, a small village with several Irish craft stores. Continue on this scenic route from Maas to Gweebarra Bay, Dungloe and then onto Derrybeg and Brinlack on the Atlantic Coast. A beautiful day out before we return to our hotel for dinner and overnight in County Donegal. (B,D)

Day 5, Wednesday | Donegal - Killybegs - Slieve League -Belleek - Sligo - Roscommon

We travel south along Donegal Bay to Killybegs and the Slieve League Cliffs. Here we enjoy a minibus transfer to the cliffs, where we delight in the scenic views of Malin Bay and the Slieve League Cliffs that look out across the Atlantic Ocean. Our tour continues south to Belleek, where we pause a while to visit the famed Belleek China showroom. Continue on southwest to scenic Rosses Point, overlooking Sligo Bay. After a photo op we continue southeast to our castle hotel, Kilronan Castle. Here we enjoy a fabulous dinner and overnight at the castle. (B,D)

Day 6, Thursday | Roscommon - Sligo - Roscommon

A leisurely departure from our castle hotel, we travel a short distance to the Arigna Mines, where we enjoy the unique Arigna Mining Experience. The surrounding natural scenery where the mine is located is striking. After touring the mine, we travel along scenic Lough Allen to Dromahair and the lake isle of Innisfree, immortalized by the poet William Butler Yeats. Continue on to Sligo Town, where you have free time to explore the history of the area, or perhaps visit the Yeats Library and Art gallery. This afternoon we travel the short journey back to our castle hotel so you can enjoy some free time and relax before dinner tonight. Overnight at Kilronan. (B,D)

Day 7, Friday | Roscommon - Rail to Dublin - Dublin

Morning departure from Kilronan Castle, you bid farewell to the group as you depart at Boyle to catch a pre-booked train from Boyle to Dublin's Connelly station. On arrival, make your way to your pre-booked hotel. If your room is not ready, the hotel will hold your bags, allowing you time to start your Dublin exploration! You will explore Dublin independently today. Dublin is the capital and the largest city in Ireland. It offers a wealth of treasures to explore from fascinating museums to excellent dining options and entertainment. Overnight in Dublin. (B)

Day 8, Saturday | Dublin - U.S.

Private transfer from your Dublin hotel to Dublin Airport for your return flight home. Transfer time will be based on your return flight time. Ample time for duty-free shopping at Dublin Airport for any last-minute gifts! Arrive home the same day. (B)

Pricing

Your tour land price is per person based on two (2) people sharing a twin or double room. When a single room is booked, a single supplement will apply. When a triple room is booked, a $27 per person discount will apply.

Airfare

Celtic Tours will resume offering individual airfare in September 2022. At that time, we will once again be able to book and ticket your airfare. Note: airfare cannot be booked sooner than eleven (11) month from date of departure.

Departures & Transfers

The departure date is the date the tour starts in Ireland. One would depart from the US. one day prior to the date noted. The tour begins on Saturday.

Arrival transfers are available from Dublin Airport at 9:45 am. (Flight should arrive on tour start date by 9:00 am to avail of this group transfer). Celtic Tours tracks flights booked with them to note delays and to ensure your transfer is not missed. If air is not booked with Celtic Tours, you must be available 30 minutes prior to departure from Dublin Airport. Flight information is required for all land-only bookings in order to avail of our transfers. A transfer is also available from Belfast International Airport up to 12:00 noon on the tour start date. Group portion ends in Boyle, Co. Roscommon, where you board a train (included) to Dublin. Make your way to your Dublin hotel independently. Transfer from your Dublin hotel to the airport is included and will be booked according to your needs.

Notes on Hotel:

Please note, that there are some hotel substitutions: July 01 departure utilizes the Castlerosse Hotel in Killarney / Aug 19 and 26 departures utilize the Kees Hotel in Donegal.
