Additional Notes

Departure from Dublin is on arrival of all International flights booked by Celtic Tours (scheduled generally for 9:15 am). Due to flights arriving at various times, passengers arriving early may have an extended wait at the airport until all flights arrive. You may want to consider booking a pre-night to avoid a long wait at the airport or to avoid missing the group transfer.


Sunday, Day 01 is the start date in the Ireland. Note, with overnight flights, a Saturday flight would be needed, to meet group on Day 01, Sunday at Dublin Airport. A 9:15 am group transfer is provided from Dublin Airport on arrival. Should your flight arrive after 9:15, we suggest booking a pre-night, so that you can meet the group as needed on Sunday.

Day 01, Sunday: Arrive Dublin, Ireland - Monaghan.

Morning arrival at Dublin Airport. Depart Dublin Airport at 9:45 and travel north via Drogheda to the historic ruins of Monasterboice, founded in the 5th century. Muiredach’s high cross features biblical carvings of both the old and new testaments of the bible. Continue on to nearby Monaghan town and our hotel. After check-in you have some free time to rest. We enjoy dinner at our hotel in Monaghan. (D)

Day 02, Monday: Armagh - Belfast - Monaghan

Today we travel north via Armagh, the seat of the church in Ireland, to Belfast. We arrive in Belfast and enjoy a 45-minute panoramic city tour. . Here you will enjoy Belfast independently to choose what you wish to do and see. Return to our hotel for dinner and overnight. (B, D)

Day 03, Tuesday: Monaghan - Dublin - Waterford

Morning departure and travel south to Dublin, where we have a panoramic tour of the city. We stop for a visit to the Guinness Storehouse, where views of the city are seen from the gravity bar, while enjoying a pint! Leaving Dublin, we continue south to Waterford for dinner and overnight. (B, D)

Day 04, Wednesday: Tipperary - Cliffs of Moher - Limerick

Morning departure from Waterford. Travel west via Cahir and Tipperary and Limerick and Ennis to the stunning Cliffs of Moher, that plunge into the Atlantic 700 feet below. The views here are breathtaking. Leaving the Cliffs, we make our way back through Ennis and onto Limerick, where we will enjoy dinner and overnight. (B, D)

Day 05, Thursday: Limerick – Adare - Dingle Peninsula – Limerick

An exciting and scenic filled day today as we make our way to the Dingle Peninsula. Along the way, we pause in Adare, and then make our way through Newcastle West and Tralee. We circle the peninsula, seeing a mix of steep cliffs and sandy beaches. Afternoon there is time to enjoy a bit of lunch independently in Dingle before returning to Limerick. Tonight enjoy dinner on your own tonight. Perhaps head out and enjoy some pub entertainment in Limerick this evening. (B)

Day 06, Friday: Limerick - Kildare - Louth/Meath

Morning departure from Limerick. Travel east via Portlaoise to the Horse breeding and racing county of Kildare. Some free time for lunch in Kildare or Newbridge before heading Northeast to Drogheda* for overnight. *Please note: Depending on hotel utilized on selected departure, overnight can be in Kildare, Meath or Drogheda. Day 07, Saturday: Dublin - U.S.

Early morning transfer to Dublin Airport for your return flight home. Flights to the U.S. arrive home the same day.

Airfare is additional. Once you select your tour date, you will be given the opportunity to search our system for the best available airfare from your home city. The tour date shown is the date one arrives in Ireland. All air should be booked a day prior to accommodate overnight flights to Ireland.

Our system will search for the best possible airfare during your booking process. Note: airfare cannot be booked sooner than eleven (11) month from date of departure.

Departures & Transfers

Departure date is the date the tour starts in Ireland. One would depart from the US. one day prior to the date noted. The tour begins on Sunday in Ireland. One (1) free group transfer is offered from Dublin at 9:15 am. Please make sure you arrive before this time. If your flight time is later, please book a pre-night arrival to avoid missing the included transfer. Passengers booked on earlier morning flights will have extended wait time at the airport.

The tour ends at Dublin Airport at 7:00 am for all passengers.
