Itinerary

Italian Perfetto - Your Daily Itineary:

Day 01: U.S. - Rome.

Depart the U.S. for your overnight flight to Rome. Dinner served on board. Tours purchased on a land only basis begin on Day 02.

Day 02: Arrive Rome.

Upon arrival in Rome, you have a private transfer from the airport to your hotel. The remainder of your day is at leisure. Perhaps relax at our hotel or explore the city on your own. Overnight in Rome. (Transfers between 8:00 pm and 8:00 am are additional.)


Day 03: Rome.

Enjoy breakfast at the hotel. We are collected from our hotel between 7:45-8:15 am, to enjoy a visit to the Vatican Museums and Sistine Chapel. Our tour jumps the queue and here our guide will lead us into the museums where we will visit one of the most important art collections in the world. Admire the beautiful spiral stairways and the gallery of tapestries before arriving at the famous Sistine Chapel. (Note that this tour will not enter the Basilica due to the Papal Audience on Wednesday). Free time to explore the Vatican at your leisure. Your tour ends at the Vatican, where you can make your own way back to the hotel or explore Rome at your leisure.

Day 04: Rome.

After breakfast your morning is free at leisure in Rome. This afternoon, we are collected from our hotel to enjoy a glorious tour of Ancient Rome. We visit the Colosseum and the archaeological area. The tour ends in a central location in Rome, where you are free to further enjoy the city. Overnight in Rome.

After breakfast, our driver will transfer us to the train station for our journey to Florence (2nd class rerserved seat). Once there, a local driver will meet us at the rain station and transfer us to our centrally located hotel. Our afternoon is free to discover this wonderful city independently. Overnight in Florence.

Day 06: Florence.

After breakfast, make your way to Piazza Stazione, at the corner with Piazza dell’ Unità (in front of LoramodaShop) by 9:15 am, where you will meet your guide. Your tour of Florence includes the Duomo, a visit of Accademia Gallery where you can admire David by Michelangelo and many other great works. Spend afternoon at leisure. Overnight at your Florence hotel.

Day 07: Florence - Tuscany.

You are collected from your hotel this morning and make your way to the Chianti area. Meet your local guide and travel to Castellina in Chianti, which stands on the border between Florentine and Senese Chianti. It has Etruscan roots and has always played an important role between conflicts between Florence and Siena. The majestic fortress and the massive walls prove its glorious past. Continue to Greve in Chianti where the great explorer Giovanni da Verrazzano was born, as celebrated by the statue in the main square, Piazza Matteotti. The Church of Santa Croce keeps important artworks by Florentine artists such as Andrea Della Robbia and deserves a visit. Then stop at the wonderful Castle of Verrazzano for a visit and wine tasting. This evening we enjoy a welcome dinner at our Villa, the Villa Casagrande

Day 08: Florence - Cooking Class. 

After breakfast at the Villa enjoy the day at your leisure. You can decide to visit the health centre of the Villa, rent bikes, go horseback riding, take a walk in the town (right outside the Villa gate) or visit the cellar and the museum of the Villa which has been host to Popes and Princes. In the afternoon a cooking class with Mamma Paola where you will learn the basics of traditional Italian pizza. Dinner follows with the food you have prepared. Overnight at the Villa.

Day 09: Florence - U.S.

After breakfast, you have a private transfer to Florence Airport (or the rail station if requested at time of booking).

The dates that will be shown are the the start / end dates based on overnight flight to Italy, however, you can alter these dates to arrive earlier or extend your stay as needed.

  • City Tax at hotels- as it must be paid directly to hotels

Note: Due to operational times, touring may be adjusted to accommodation blackouts and closings. For example, Vatican is not availble on Sunday or religous holidays - where needed, touring in Rome between the Vaitcan and the Colosseum will be switched. Keep in mind there is not entrance to the Basilica on Wendesday at the Vatican due to Papal Audience.

Note: Although our Italy Tours are guaranteed departures, we must still confirm with our vendor in Italy to make sure the date you desire is not sold out. Airfare should not be booked until your tour is confirmed.
