Day 01, Friday: U.S. to
Ireland. Depart U.S. for overnight flight to Ireland. Dinner is served
Day 02, Saturday:
Dublin. Transfers available to your hotel up to 12 noon. Free time to
rest. Afternoon visit to Trinity College to view the 8th Century manuscript
“Book of Kells”. Some free time in Dublin to browse or relax at your hotel.
Evening dinner and traditional Irish Cabaret show. Overnight in Dublin .
Day 03, Sunday: ST. PATRICK'S DAY! After breakfast, we are
transferred to the parade route, where we can enjoy the festivities. Remainder
of the day is free to browse, visit some of the famed Dublin pubs or visit the
theatre. Overnight in Dublin.
Day 04, Monday: Dublin -
Kilkenny - Waterford. Morning departure from Dublin. Travel south to
Kilkenny City where we visit historical Kilkenny Castle. Free time in this
nacient city to browse and perhaps visit St. Canice's Cathedral which dates from
the 13th century. Depart Kilkenny and continue south to Waterford for dinner and
Tuesday: Waterford - Cobh - Blarney - Killarney. Morning visit to the
House of Waterford after which we depart Waterford and travel south to County
Cork and visit the Cobh Heritage Center, which documents the history of Irish
emigration and the story of the ill-fated superliners - the Luisitania and the
Belfast-built titanic. Cobh was the last port of call for the Titanic before she
crossed the Atlantic. Continue on to Blarney for an optional visit to Blarney
Castle to kiss the famed Blarney Stone. Optional shopping at the Blarney Woollen
Mills for tweeds, knitwear, crystal and china. Continue on over the Cork and
Kerry Mountains to Killarney for dinner and overnight. Optional pub
entertainment tonight in Killarney.
Day 06, Wednesday: Killarney - Dingle Peninsula Tour. A
delightful day takes us along the Kerry coast to the Dingle Peninsula, which
offers magnificent coastal scenery. Beyond Slea Head, we see the Blasket
Islands, the last outpost of Europe. A full day tour returning to Killarney for
dinner and overnight.
Day 07, Thursday: Killarney -
Cashel - Kildare. Morning depature from Killarney. We travel via
Cashel, where you will have a photo opportunity, as we pause briefly to view the
historic limestone ruins of the Rock of Cashel. Continue on to County Kildare
where we visit the Irish National Stud Farm to view the newborn foals. Dinner
and overnight at our nearby hotel.
Day 08, Friday: Dublin Airport -
U.S. After breakfast, we transfer to Dublin Airport for our return
flight home. Ample time allowed for last minute duty free shopping before
boarding our flight home. We arrive home the same day.
