Day 01, Saturday:
U.S. to Ireland. Depart U.S. for your overnight fl ight to
Ireland. Dinner is served on board.
Day 02, Sunday: Dublin. . Morning arrival at Dublin Airport. Having cleared Irish customs we
are greeted by our Celtic Tours driver/guide. Transfers from Dublin Airport to our hotel are available at
approximately 7:30 am and again at 10:30 am. (Individual passengers arriving
after 10:15 am will be required to transfer to the hotel at your own expense.)
Check into our Dublin hotel, with free time to relax. Depart
our hotel at 12:45 pm for a half-day city tour of Dublin, including a visit to
historic Kilmainham Jail, which covers some of the most heroic and tragic events
in Irish history from 1780 to the 1920's. Next, we visit the famed Guinness
Storehouse to learn about the world famous Irish beer and enjoy a sample brew in
the rooftop bar. Have your camera ready for some magnificent panoramic views of
Dublin
City. Return to our hotel
where the evening in free. Overnight in Dublin.
Day 03, Monday: Dublin - Downpatrick - Belfast. Morning departure from Dublin we travel via Newry
and along Carlingford Lough to Kilkeel. Continue along the scenic coastal route
to Newcastle, with breathtaking views of the
Mourne Mountains as they sweep down to the Irish Sea. Visit Down Cathedral the reputed burial place
of St. Patrick. Continue on to Belfast for dinner and overnight.

Day 04, Tuesday: Belfast - Giant's Causeway - Derry. Morning sightseeing in Belfast with a local guide
shows us the Victorian buildings and the Harland and Wolff Shipyard where the
Titanic and her sister ships; Britannic and Olympic, were built. Leaving
Belfast we drive north along the scenic coastline
of the Glen's of Antrim to view the Giant's
Causeway, volcanic columns, formed over 60 million years ago.
Continue on to Derry for dinner and overnight.
Day 05, Wednesday: Derry - Donegal - Belleek - Mayo. Leaving Derry, see the quaint
village of Donegal as we travel via Glenveagh Castle and National Park. Keep a watch out
for the rare Golden Eagles who have returned to nest. Travel south via
Donegal
Town to the Belleek Pottery
Factory for a short visit. Continue on south via Sligo and County Mayo and our hotel in Ballina for dinner
and overnight.
Day 06, Thursday: Clew Bay and
Achill
Island. Today enjoy a scenic fi lled tour
via Newport and Clew Bay,
with it's over 360 Islands, to the Curraun Peninsula and Achill Island, excellent views along the Atlantic
drive. Close to Slievemore, we will see a deserted village and the remains of
over 90 stone cottages, dating back to the famine in the 1840's. Our return
drive takes us on the scenic drive to Bangor, then via Crossmolina, back to our hotel
in Ballina for dinner and overnight.
Day 07, Friday: Ballina - Longford -
Dublin.
Departing the west coast we travel across the midlands via Longford and
Mullingar to Dublin. Check in to our Dublin hotel. Afternoon
and evening are free to enjoy on your own or let us book an evening of
traditional music and dinner for you at the Old Jameson Distillery Shindig for a
great farewell party ($96 pp - must be pre-booked.)
Day 08, Saturday: Dublin Airport - U.S. Morning transfer to Dublin Airport for our return flight home. Ample
time allowed for last minute duty free shopping. Arrive home the same
day.
