Itinerary

Day 01, Sunday: U.S. to Ireland. Depart U.S. for your overnight flight to Ireland. Dinner is served on board.

Day 02, Monday: Dublin. Morning arrival at Dublin Airport, having cleared Irish customs, we exit to the arrivals hall where our driver/guide greets us. Check into our Dublin hotel, with free time to relax. Afternoon departure for a visit to the Whitefriar Church, which holds the remains of St. Valentine. In 1835 Pope Gregory XVI decided to make the Church a gift of St. Valentine's body. The Whitefriar Shrine to St. Valentine has been and continues to be a place of pilgrimage for those celebrating love, gained or lost. The Church also has shrines to the Black Madonna and St. Albert. Continue on a one-hour panoramic tour of Dublin. Overnight in Dublin with dinner on your own this evening.

Day 03, Tuesday: Dublin - Kilkenny - Killarney. Depart Dublin and travel south west to Kilkenny town. Enjoy some free time in this historic town and perhaps visit Kilkenny Castle. Depart Kilkenny and travel via Clonmel in County Tipperary to Killarney for dinner and overnight.

Day 04, Wednesday: Killarney - Dingle Peninsula. Enjoy the scenic beauty for which this region is renowned and made famous by such movies as “Ryan's Daughter” and “Far & Away.” See the long, sandy stretches of Inch Strand and admire views across the bay to the Iveragh Peninsula. See beehive huts where early Christian monks lived and visit Gallarus Oratory, dating from the 8th century. Stop for some free time in Dingle, then drive up the Conor Pass for panoramic views before returning to Killarney. Evening is free to dine on your own and enjoy the music in the many local pubs.

Day 05, Thursday: Killarney - Foynes - Limerick - Killaloe. After breakfast, we depart Killarney and travel via Tralee and Listowel, home to the late playwrite and storyteller John B. Keane. Continue on to Tarbert and travel along the Shannon River to Foynes, a small seaport on the Shannon River. Foynes gained prominence as the transatlantic stop for the first seaplane service between the U.S. and Europe. Optional visit to the Flying Boat Museum and the Boeing 314 “Yankee Clipper.” Continue on via Limerick to historic Killaloe, the home of Ireland's most famous High King, Brian Boru. Dinner and overnight in Killaloe.

Day 06, Friday: Killaloe. Today enjoy a tour of this historic area and in the afternoon enjoy a 90 minute scenic cruise* on the Shannon River. Return to Killaloe where this evening is free to dine on your own. Overnight in Killaloe.

Day 07, Saturday: Killaloe - Cliffs of Moher - Galway - Sligo. Morning departure from Killaloe, travel via Ennis to the West Coast and view the majestic Cliffs of Moher, rising 700-feet above the Atlantic Ocean. Continue onto Galway city and Galway Bay, stopping briefly for a photo-op at Salthill. Travel onwards via Claremorris and Knock to Sligo for dinner and overnight.

Day 08, Sunday: Sligo - Donegal - Sligo. Today enjoy a sightseeing tour of Donegal. Our tour takes us north to Bundoran and along Donegal's Teelin Bay, where we have magnificent views of the Slieve League sea cliffs, the highest in Europe. Continue onto Killybegs and Donegal town famous for Irish Tweeds and hand knit sweaters. Return to our Sligo hotel where the evening is free to dine on your own.

Day 09, Monday: Sligo - Dublin. Morning departure from Sligo. We travel south east across Ireland via Longford to arrive in Dublin in the early afternoon. Afternoon and evening are free in Dublin to dine on your own or perhaps catch a show in Dublin. Overnight in Dublin.

Day 10, Tuesday: Dublin - U.S. Morning departure for Dublin Airport where our tour ends at approximately 7:00 am. After check-in, time to browse or shop for duty free items before proceeding to U.S. Customs area. You will clear U.S. Customs in Ireland. You arrive home the same day and claim your luggage, by passing customs.

Your tour land price is based on two people sharing a twin room. When a single room is booked, a single supplement will apply.

Airfare is additional. Once you select your date, you will be given the opportunity below to search our system for the best available airfare from your home city. The dates shown will the the start / end date of your tour, however, you can alter these dates to arrive earlier or extend your stay as needed.

Free group transfers are offered from Dublin at 7:30 am and 10:30 at the beginning of the tour, and the tour ends at Dublin Airport at 7:00 am for all passengers. Passengers that book air on their own may avail of these free transfers provided they inform us of their flight information 35 days prior to departure and they are available 30 minutes prior to airport departure.
