Itinerary
Day 1 | Arrive in Porto
Welcome to Portugal! Upon arrival at Porto Airport, private transfer to your accommodation. Overnight in Porto.
Day 2 | Porto
Embark yourself in a full day exploration of Oporto, voted Best European Destination 2012 by the European citizens. This is also known as "Cidade Invicta" (unvanquished city). Its distinct and unique character gave Porto a World Heritage classification. Aligned with the river Douro, rich in contrasts and well-preserved treasures, it is the ancient city of the Port of immeasurable beauty. After a walking tour of the heart of the town, enjoy a tasty lunch. The tour will end with a relaxing cruise of the Six Bridges. Overnight in Porto. (B)
Day 3 | Medieval Gems: Braga & Guimaraes
Join a small group excursion to Minho, visiting Braga and Guimarães, where medieval vibes transport you through old streets and iconic monuments like castles and palaces. Braga, once a Roman city, witnessed a tumultuous history before becoming a Christian center. Its Se, the oldest in Portugal, holds great historical significance. Guimarães, a UNESCO World Heritage city, played a pivotal role in the founding of Portugal by D. Afonso Henriques, boasting medieval and sixteenth-century architecture. Overnight in Porto. (B)
Day 4 | Douro Valley
The morning is free to enjoy Oporto on your own. In the afternoon, meet your private driver and transfer to the Douro Valley, the wine capital of Portugal. Upon arrival, enjoy a delicious local dinner and settle in for the evening. Overnight in Douro Valley (B, D)
Day 5 | Douro Valley
Embark on a mesmerizing journey through the Douro Valley, Portugal's wine heartland. Start your day fron your hotel, nestled along the Douro River, where the serene ambiance sets the tone for the day. As you meander through terraced vineyards, the landscape tells tales of centuries-old wine traditions. Next, venture to Lamego, a town steeped in history and culture. Marvel at the Sanctuary of Nossa Senhora dos Remédios, with its baroque architecture and iconic staircase. Wander the town's cobbled streets, soaking in its rich heritage. As the morning transitions to afternoon, arrive in Pinhão, the epicenter of the Douro wine region. Enjoy a sumptuous lunch, where local gastronomy meets the finest Douro wines. Relish regional dishes, perfectly paired with wines that encapsulate the essence of the valley. Finally, indulge in a curated wine tasting at a renowned quinta (wine estate). Savor the region's famed Port wine and other varietals, each sip echoing the valley's unique terrain. Overnight in Douro Valley.(B, L)
Day 6 | Aveiro - Porto
Meet your driver and transfer from Douro to Oporto(Porto) passing along Aveiro. Discover Aveiro's charm on a guided city tour! Cruise the picturesque canals, reminiscent of Venice, aboard a moliceiro boat. Stroll through historic neighborhoods, marveling at Art Nouveau architecture and vibrant tiles. Visit the Aveiro Museum and taste the iconic ovos moles pastry. Uncover local traditions at the fisherman's quarter, Costa Nova. Aveiro's blend of culture, history, and coastal beauty awaits your exploration. After the stop, continue to Oporto. Overnight in Oporto. (B)

Please note, airfare offered on this tour is published non-contracted airfare, which full payment is due at time of booking and would be non-refundable and non-changeable.
